Apple handles refunds for in-app purchases and downloads. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the purchase, and tap Report a Problem.

What to include in a bug report

The more of this you send, the faster we can fix it:

  • What you did: the steps right before things went sideways
  • What happened: the actual outcome, in your words
  • What you expected: what should've happened
  • iOS version: Settings → General → About → Software Version
  • Device model: iPhone 14, 15, 16, etc.
  • App version: open the app, tap the gear icon → About
  • Screenshot or screen recording: gold tier

Most-asked questions

The comic got my snack wrong. Can I fix it?

Yes. When vision isn't confident, the app shows a Confirm Snack screen. Edit the name, change the category, hit confirm, and re-score. If a wrong roast already slipped through, tap New Joke on the comic to re-run.

How do I delete my data?

Email privacy@roastmysnack.com with any details you have about the request. Uploaded photos, thumbnails, comics, and script records are deleted when you start a new snack; backup cleanup catches anything missed within 24 hours.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple, not us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID that made the purchase, find the line item, and tap Report a Problem. Apple typically responds within 48 hours.

Will there be an Android version?

Maybe. The backend is platform-agnostic, so the heavy lifting is portable. We're launching iPhone first and will revisit Android after we see App Store data and demand signals.

Is the app safe for my child to use?

The app is designed to be used by a child with adult supervision. No accounts, no chat, no in-app purchases targeting kids, no behavioral advertising. The "roast" tone targets the snack, never the kid. Read the full privacy policy for the details.

What if a snack triggers an allergy?

You can set allergens in the settings; the Glow-Up Swap suggestions will skip them. The app is not a medical device. Always verify ingredients yourself before serving anything to a child with a known allergy.

The app crashed on me. What now?

Sorry about that. Re-open the app. If iOS sent a crash report (allowed by default), it's already on its way to us. Email hello@roastmysnack.com with what you were doing when it crashed; that context is what we actually need.

Can I use the comics outside the app?

Yes. Every comic has a share sheet built in. Generated comics are yours to share on social, in a text, wherever. We just ask you credit "Made with Roast My Snack" when it goes anywhere public.

Service status

If the app is failing to score snacks and you've tried again twice, our backend may be down. Check status updates on our X / Twitter account (linked from the homepage), or email us. We'll know.
